Suck It Up, Saddam.

I'm a little concerned about all the news lately of Muslims getting offended by various sources that make any kind of comment that could be interpreted as derogatory. How long and how much have Christians, Jews, or other religious folk been persecuted, belittled, offended, or otherwise maligned in the history of civilization? I've been criticized as a Christian. Jews have been persecuted countless times, most notably during the holocaust. It sucks, but we go on.

That said, insulting Islam extremists is somehow more than we can bear being offended about -- and mainstream Muslims are the ones complaining! That's like me complaining if someone makes fun of the KKK.

Jihadists need to be made fun of. Ku Klux Klan members need to be made fun of, just as Dave Chappelle did in the very first episode of his show. What is wrong with that?

The Sum of All Fears!

Just as I'm getting over allergy and sinus problems, I have another worry on the horizon: E coli from bad spinach! And we thought Avian Flu was going to kill us all...

Drain, Drain, Go Away...

It's that time of year when the weather starts to change and my sinuses flip out. I've once again acquired a fun little case of sinus drainage (or "post-nasal drip" for you doctor folk). I'm taking Sudafed and generally feeling crummy. Give me a week and I'll get past it. Sigh.

9/11...

This is the one day of the year that I intentionally try to make myself sad and uncomfortable about what happened that terrible day. The victims deserve that.

God bless America.

Lucy and Her Stalkers.

Watch this YouTube video and then watch these two creepy guys' responses.

Run away, Lucy. Run far, far away.

Working for the weekend.

This looks to be a fun and promising weekend.

Tonight Glenda, her son, and I are meeting up with my family to go up to Santa-Cali-Gon Days -- my town's Labor Day weekend street festival. I've already been up there once today: I ate a turkey leg and "Chuckwagon Cookie" at lunchtime.

Tonight I think I'm going to go for a "Super Dog," gator on a stick (which I've never had before), and share curly chips with everyone.

Tomorrow night is poker! Glenda may or may not come with me, but I always enjoy going and hanging out with "the guys."

Sunday, Glenda and her son are joining me at my sister's church. After that it's lunch with the family!

Fun stuff. Gotta go!
